A report from a participant:
To me the weekend was really important. It was the first time I had been to a Quaker event and after it I definitely want to go to more. Everybody is just so friendly you never have a minute sitting on your own because someone always comes over and starts talking to you. It was great meeting some other young Quakers my age because Immmmmmmmm the only one at my meeting and sometimes it feels like Immmmmmmmm the only one in the world.
I also enjoyed learning about the history of Quakers in an interesting way rather than being in a classroom and some teacher briefly mentioning us when we were talking about the war and conscientious objectors.
I was really sad to go home on Sunday. On Thursday evening we had been 30 strangers but by Sunday we had got to know each other really well. We had shared a lot of good times and laughs. We had worked and lived together for 3 days and we had had a really good time.
