Stuck for ideas of what to do with your songbook/CD?
The Quaker Songbook 'Sing in the Spirit' is a collection of songs and music, composed by Friends or with Quaker themes.
The original songbook was published by the Quaker Fellowship of the Arts in 1981 and has since gone out of print. High demand from Friends for a revised edition sparked the idea to create this project. The new songbook was published for the grand launch concert on Thursday 4th August at Britain Yearly Meeting 2005 in York.
You can now order a songbook and/or CD to be sent to you. Please download a form (see above), print, fill in and return the order form to us. (Right-click on the link and choose 'Save Target As..' or 'Save Link As..'. If you need further assistance please use the contact form at the bottom of the page.)
We hope you enjoy using your songbook yourself and with your meeting but there are also opportunities to learn and sing the songs at upcoming projects, including one at Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre. Please see the upcoming events page for more information.
The illustrations for the songbook and the accompanying CD 'There's Music in the Air' were done by Pillip Kingsbury. www.ba-dum-cha.com
